ServeManager Automations that can save you time and increase your efficiency in 2020.

Do you wish that a due date was added to a calendar when you created a job in ServeManager. Or, when you created an affidavit or recorded an attempt, your customer received a text? These are just examples of the type of automations (also known as Zaps) you can create using Zapier. 

ServeManager is the only software solution for process servers that is part of the Zapier platform, allowing you to connect over a 1,000 apps to ServeManager, essentially allowing you to build your own features.

Dozens of ServeManager customers have built their own ServeManager automations using Zapier, but here are some popular ones that you can get started with right away.

1. Create invoices in Quickbooks Online (and other accounting tools)

By using Zapier, you can connect your ServeManager account with your Quickbooks Online, Xero or FreshBooks account to automatically create an invoice in your accounting software. This Zap allows you to use the full features of your accounting software to manage your income and expenses, P&L and other reporting features.

2. Send a text when a job is assigned

There are a number of 3rd party SMS tools out there that you can connect to ServeManager via Zapier.

One full-featured and cost-effective solution that we’ve tested is Sakari. Whether you’re using this tool, or any of the others available in the Zapier directory, there are a number of ways that you can integrate text messaging into your ServeManager workflow:

  • Text a process server when a job is assigned to them
  • Text a client when a new attempt is made
  • Text a client when a new affidavit is created
  • Receive a text (as an owner or admin) when a new job is created via order form



3. Add an order form to your website

Just like the SMS and phone apps, Zapier has tons of off-the-shelf form products you can connect to ServeManager and add to your website.

Products like Formstack, Google Forms, Gravity Forms and Typeform are some of the most common form tools you see connected to websites. With a little tinkering, you should be able to set up a form on your website that allows your customers to order a job and input all the important job details while creating a job in ServeManager at the same time.

4. Add a ServeManager job due date to a Google Calendar

A number of our customers use Gmail, Google Calendar and other productivity tools from Google to help manage their business. We’ve created a Zapier template that allows you to add your ServeManager job due dates to a Google Calendar which is pretty popular amongst our users who want to get email reminders and see job due dates on a calendar view.

5. Automate your email marketing list

When a new client is added to ServeManager, you can automatically add them to your email list in Mailchimp, Constant Contact and other tools used for newsletters and email marketing. There are a lot of these products out there, but chances are yours is on the Zapier platform.
