New Feature Release: Request and Sign Affidavits in Minutes, Not Days

🔔 Heads up: This feature will go live on early next week

We’ll send an in-app message once it’s officially available in your account.

Anyone who has worked in a process serving office knows the routine. The job is complete. The notes are in. Everyone is ready to close the file. Then everything stalls because the affidavit or proof of service is sitting out in the field, waiting to be signed. It is one of the slowest and most frustrating parts of the process. In some cases, it delays billing and delays the client.

We decided to fix that.

Our new Request Signature feature brings the signature step into the natural workflow inside ServeManager. Instead of emailing PDFs, calling servers, texting reminders, or waiting for paperwork to come back, the office can now send the affidavit directly to the process server for signature inside the app. The process takes minutes.

Here is how it works.

When the job is completed, generate the affidavit as you normally do. Upon pressing Save & Share, you will now see a green button that allows you to share the affidavit and request the server’s signature. Once that request is sent, ServeManager updates the job to show that the signature is pending.

On the server’s side, the mobile app will show a clear notification that a signature is required. The server opens the proof of service, reviews it, and signs it in the app. The signature is applied with the date. The office is immediately notified that the affidavit is signed and ready to share with the client or court. If the server is not using the mobile app, they will see the same request inside the job screen in their web account.

This feature works whether you are sending work to your own employees, independent contractors, or other agencies you collaborate with. The goal is simple. Remove the chase. Remove the lag. Close the job.

What used to take days can now take minutes.

WHAT IS COMING SOON

We are releasing this along with two related improvements. Two factor authentication is now supported for mobile users. We are also releasing an Android update that resolves a known camera issue. Soon, we will also introduce in-app notifications for new job assignments. This will allow servers to accept or decline new jobs from within the mobile app and reduce reliance on email.

We built this because many of you told us that waiting for signed affidavits is one of the biggest bottlenecks in your workflow. You were right. It needed to be fixed. Let us know how this improves your turnaround time and your client satisfaction.

As always, we are easy to reach. Call us. Email us. Message us in Intercom. We want the feedback.
