Skip the Download: Edit Uploaded Documents Right in ServeManager

For years, process servers and office staff have worked around a common workflow hurdle: needing to download a document, make edits like filling in a Capacity Notice, and then upload it before assigning the job. We’ve heard your feedback, and we’re excited to announce a feature that eliminates that extra effort and time.

Now you can edit uploaded documents directly within ServeManager.

This includes PDFs and other common service-related uploads like Summons, Complaints, Notices, and more. Whether it’s inserting dates, typing in a party's capacity, or completing any required fields, you can now do it without ever leaving the app.

Why This Matters:

  • Save Time: No need to download, modify, and re-upload files.
  • Reduce Errors: Eliminate version confusion or missed edits.
  • Stay Organized: Maintain a single source of truth inside the job file.

This feature is especially helpful for users in states like California, where forms such as the Summons often require server-completed fields before service is valid. You can now make those changes directly from your browser—no additional software needed.

Available in all ServeManager plans starting Thursday, July 17.

Please note that this feature is currently in Beta, which means we’re actively improving it based on real-world usage and your feedback. You may see regular updates as we fine-tune the experience. If something doesn’t work as expected or if you have ideas for how we can make it better we want to hear from you.

By default, in-app editing is enabled for all accounts. However, you have full control, if you prefer not to use it, you can toggle the feature off at any time from your Account Settings
